Caged Physical Collocation allows you to lease caged floor space for placement of your equipment within Qwest Wire Centers.

Caged Physical Collocation is available where facilities exist throughout Qwest's 14-State Local Service Territory.

Terms and Conditions

Terms and conditions are included in your Interconnection Agreement, if these terms differ from those set forth in this web page or in the Negotiations Template Agreement, then the terms of your Interconnection Agreement may prevail.

You are responsible for the procurement, installation and maintenance of your equipment and any cross connections required within your leased collocation space.

Rate Structure

Caged Physical Collocation charges are based on information you provide on your Collocation Application and the work to be preformed. Applicable charges to this product are:

Recurring charges are comprised of the following rate elements:

  • -48 Volt Direct Current (DC) Power Cable Charge
  • Grounding Charge
  • Space Construction

Nonrecurring charges are comprised of the following rate elements:

  • -48 Volt DC Power Cable Charge
  • Fencing Credit
  • Grounding Charge
  • Site Preparation
  • Space Construction

Rates

Wholesale rates for this product or service, including tariff references and any applicable discounts, are provided in your current Interconnection, Resale, Commercial or other governing agreement.

Implementation

Product Prerequisites
If you are a new CLEC and are ready to do business with Qwest, view Getting Started as a Facility-Based CLECs. If you are an existing CLEC wishing to amend your Interconnection Agreement or New Customer Questionnaire, additional information is located in the Interconnection Agreement.

Ordering

General ordering activities are described in the Ordering section of Collocation - General Information.

It is recommended that you identify a minimum square footage requirement that you will accept and an alternate choice(s) on your Collocation Application. If you do not specify a minimum square footage and alternate choice(s) on your Collocation Application, Qwest will assume that there are no Collocation alternatives acceptable to you.

Submit a New/ Change/Augment Application form to order Caged Physical Collocation at a particular Qwest Central Office (CO). The form is located in the Applications and APOT forms table in the Collocation - General Information.

Information on how to cancel a Caged Physical Collocation order already in progress is located in the Collocation - Cancellation Overview process. Collocation application forms can be found under Applications and APOT forms table in the Collocation - General Information.

Information on how to decommission a completed Caged Physical Collocation site is in the Collocation - Decommissioning Overview process. Collocation application forms can be found under Applications and APOT forms table in the Collocation - General Information.

Provisioning and Installation

Maintenance and Repair

General maintenance and repair activities are described in the Maintenance and Repair section of Collocation - General Information.

You are responsible for the repair and maintenance of all your equipment in your collocation cage, including cleaning and refuse removal.

Emergency access information to your cage must be available to Qwest.

Qwest requires your presence when entering your cages for any provisioning or maintenance reasons, unless prior access information and permission have been made available to Qwest.
