Qwest currently offers a Type 2D interconnection throughout Qwestâs 14 statewide territory. This interconnection is available to wireless services providers as an enhancement to presently provided Type 2 interconnection from a wireless switching center to the Qwest operator services switch for existing Directory Assistance, National Directory Assistance, Directory Assistance Call Completion service, and Operator Services.
*Qwest will be offering Toll and Assistance Operator Services to Interexchange Carrier (IXCs) end users.
Operating and Provisioning Requirements:
From the DACC tariff FCC 1
Toll and Operator services are available to ICs with or without Release to Pivot capabilities and SS7 out of Band signaling. The SS7 out of band signaling may be ordered out of Section 6.3.1, preceding. This service may be designed in accordance with Telcordia Technical Reference GR-3016-CORE and Qwest Corporation Technical Publications PUB 77342.
From the SGAT
The technical requirements of operator service trunk are covered in the Operator Services Systems Generic Requirement (OSSGR), Telcordia document FR-NWT-000271, Section 6 (Signaling) and Section 10 (System Interfaces) in general requirements form.
For facility-based CLECs, Interconnection to Qwestâs Operator Services Switch is Technically Feasible at two (2) distinct points on the trunk side of the Switch. The first connection point is an operator services trunk connected directly to the Qwest Operator Services host Switch. The second connection point is an operator services trunk connected directly to a remote Qwest Operator Services Switch.
Trunk Provisioning and facility ownership must follow Qwest guidelines.
In order for CLEC to use Qwestâs operator services as a facility-based CLEC, CLEC must provide an operator service trunk between CLEC's end office and the Interconnection point on the Qwest operator services Switch for each NPA served.
CLEC will provide separate no-test trunks (not the local/IntraLATA trunks) to the Qwest Operator Services Switches.
