IMA GUI
Course Description
This self-directed, web-based course teaches the participant
how to use the Qwest IMA GUI system functionality to perform
PreOrder, Order and Post Order tasks, and how to submit Local
Service Requests (LSRs) in the IMA GUI. The course provides
system demonstrations and allows you to complete hands-on activities
that emulate the IMA GUI system.
Technical Requirements
To appreciate the full benefits of this training, we recommend:
- Microsoft Windows XP
- Internet Explorer 6.0 (recommended)
- Netscape 4.79
- Java plug-in 1.4.2_05 (required)
- Intel Pentium 233 MHz
- 17-inch SVGA Monitor (800 x 600 resolution or higher)
- SVGA video card with 2 MB memory
- 96 MB RAM
- 56 Kbps modem (dial-up or Internet connection to Qwest)
or dedicated LAN connection to Qwest
- 200 MB free disk space (after all software installation
and Windows virtual memory file allocation)
Additional memory (RAM) and a faster network connection and
CPU may improve performance of the IMA application.
Course Objectives
The course goal is to provide the information necessary for
CLECs, Resellers, IXCs, Wireless, ILECs and Paging customers
to use the IMA GUI to submit LSRs. The course is benefit oriented,
stressing ease of use, reduction of errors, and improvement
of flow, through quality of orders, timeliness and FOC delivery.
The web based training includes an overview, demonstration,
and practice with the features and capabilities of the IMA GUI.
Upon completion of this training course, you will be able to:
- Understand IMA GUI administrative processes and sign-on procedures
- Understand how to use IMA GUI to validate customer information
- Identify and describe how to use IMA GUI to create and submit LSRs and reports
- Identify and describe how to use IMA GUI to revise, restructure, and correct LSRs
- Identify and use the three Appendices (LSR Forms, Glossary, and Error Message Directory)
Prerequisites
- Basic Telephony course and/or equivalent industry experience
- Working knowledge of completing and submitting LSRs to Qwest
- Working knowledge of Qwest IMA ordering system
- Experience using web based, graphical user interfaces
- Review of the IMA User Guide
Audience
The target audience for the training is CLECs, Resellers, IXCs, Wireless, ILECs
and Paging. This training will assist you in the use of the IMA
GUI to input Local Service Requests and allow you to be more effective
in submitting Local Service Requests.
Course Length
This course will take approximately 6 hours to complete. It is modular in nature
so depending on the specific content you are interested in, the
time frame may vary
