Course Description

This instructor-led course provides an overview of the Local Number Portability product, as well as describes the Wireless Service Provider processes for submitting a service request (wireline to wireless) via Interconnect Mediated Access (IMA). The processes covered are PreOrder, Order, PostOrder, and Provisioning.

Course Objectives

Upon completion of this training course, you will be able to:

• Describe Local Number Portability (LNP)
• Identify the IMA processes necessary to submit a service request (wireline to wireless) for LNP
• Identify the forms required to submit a service request (wireline to wireless) for LNP
• Identify the required fields on each form

Prerequisites

• Basic Telephony course and/or equivalent industry experience
• Working knowledge of Qwest IMA ordering system
• IMA GUI
• Local Qwest 101 "Doing Business with Qwest"
• Local Number Portability Product

Audience

The target audience for the training is primarily Wireless Service Providers (WSPs), but the training is available to anyone who would like an overview of the subject. We believe this training will assist the audience in gaining a better understanding of the product and processes, and will allow you to be more effective in working with the Qwest Sales and Service Team.
