Qwest Express Carrier is an operating company number (OCN)-based billing product that provides facilities-based carriers 1+ termination and 8xx origination services with pricing at the OCN-rate element level.
1+ termination calls are rated according to the OCN to which Qwest hands off the call for completion, while 8xx origination calls are rated according to the OCN from which Qwest receives the call. Qwest Express Carrier offers over 25,000 OCN-based rates, allowing facilities-based carrier customers to better manage their network routing costs.
Highly competitive rates - Qwest can offer facilities-based carriers a very competitive rate with OCN-level granularity.
Route cost control management - OCN-based pricing allows facilities-based carriers to better manage their network routing costs.
Easier billing validation - bill reconciliation is easier with a finer level of detail on both the invoice summary and monthly call detail records (CDRs).
Invoice summaries provide:
- Interstate calls by LATA and OCN
- Intrastate calls by state, LATA and OCN
Monthly CDRs include data fields for:
- Originating OCN
- Terminating OCN
- Unrounded price per call - $0.009999
- Per-minute rate - unrounded price for the call divided by the call duration
- Final trunk - name of trunk group where calls terminate
- Final switch - Numbering plan area (NPA) and NXX where calls terminate
Qwest Express Carrier is available to all new and existing Qwest wholesale facilities-based carrier customers. This product is not available to Qwest wholesale rebiller customers.
