Qwest International Gateway service provides
post telephone & telegraph administrations (PTTs) and other
international carriers with access to the Qwest Macro Capacity
Fiber Network® for the termination of switched long distance
voice traffic at competitive flat-rate pricing. Customers
may meet Qwest at any Qwest switch provided capacity is available.
Highly Competitive Rates
International-to-domestic U.S. traffic:
- One flat-rate for LD termination in contiguous 48 U.S.
states; please contact a Qwest wholesale sales representative
for rates
- Flat-rate pricing is available for Alaska, Hawaii, extended
territories and Caribbean; please contact a Qwest wholesale
sales representative for rates
(Please note: for U.S. domestic origination with international
termination, Qwest International Direct Distance Dialing (IDDD)
Gold standard rates apply; qualifying customers may receive
Qwest Platinum Plus rates.)
Billing Options
Flat Rate (contiguous 48 U.S. states)
- Flat-rate pricing is available for the contiguous 48 U.S.
states (for Alaska, Hawaii, extended territories and Caribbean;
contact a Qwest wholesale sales representative for rates)
- At least 75 percent of traffic must terminate with a regional
Bell operating company (RBOC). If traffic termination to
independent telecommunications companies (ITC) exceeds 25
percent, a per-minute surcharge will be added to all minutes
exceeding the percentage threshold
Flat Rate (tiered reporting)
- Flat-rate pricing is available for the contiguous 48 U.S.
states (for Alaska, Hawaii, extended territories and Caribbean;
contact a Qwest wholesale sales representative for rates)
- Tiers 1 and 4 (RBOC) must receive a minimum of 75 percent
of traffic
- Tiers 2,3,5 and 6 (ITC) must not exceed 25 percent of
traffic; otherwise a per-minute surcharge will be added
to all minutes exceeding the percentage threshold
- Customer invoice will report traffic by tier
SeLECt (6 Tiers)
- Six rates per local access and transport area (LATA)
- No RBOC/ITC percentage-of-use threshold surcharges apply
Billing Increments
- U.S. Domestic – 6/6, bills in 6-second increments
after the initial 6 seconds
- International/Canada – 30/6, bills in 6-second increments
after the initial 30 seconds
- Mexico – 60/60, bills in 60-second increments after
the initial 60 seconds
