Selective Call Forwarding allows end-users to forward only those calls from telephone numbers on their Selective Call Forwarding list.
When the Selective Call Forwarding feature has been activated, only incoming calls that appear on the Selective Call Forwarding List will be forwarded to the remote location.
Selective Call Forwarding end-users can forward to most local or long distance telephone numbers.
Outgoing calls can be made while Selective Call Forwarding is in effect.
Forwarding provided to lines originating in 5ESS® or DMS™-100 Advanced Intelligent Network (AIN) capable central offices may be provided using either:
Selective Call Forwarding service installed prior to 11-19-07 will use CLASS technology unless or until Qwest receives a Local Service Request (LSR) from you to change Selective Call Forwarding to AIN technology (see ordering section below). Once Call Rejection is migrated from Class technology to AIN technology, it can not be migrated back to CLASS technology. Selective Call Forwarding installed on or after 11-19-07 will be provided using AIN technology in AIN capable Central Offices.

To activate Selective Call Forwarding: The end user must call the AIN Update Center at 1-888-NPA (subscribers area code)-8052 or dial *78 from the subscribers Touchtone phone. The Update Center can be accessed remotely. A four (4) digit Security Code is required to activate, change, or cancel Selective Call Forwarding. The initial default security code is 1 2 3 4.
NOTE: When establishing the four digit security code the update center must be contacted from the home or business telephone number that the feature is linked to.
AIN Selective Call Forwarding does not provide a reminder ring when calls are being forwarded.

CLASS Selective Call Forwarding provides one short reminder ring when calls are being forwarded.
When an incoming call is received from a telephone number that appears on the Selective Call Forwarding List, end-users will receive a distinctive ring (short, long, short).
The following activation and deactivation code information is applicable for POTS and Centrex 21 products. Centrex Plus, Centrex Prime® and Centron® products code information can be obtained from your Qwest Sales Executive for new accounts or Qwest Service Manager for existing accounts.

Selective Call Forwarding may have a recurring and a nonrecurring charge based on state specific Tariffs/Catalogs/Price Lists.
When provided with compatible commercial local exchange services, e.g. Qwest Local Services Platform™ (QLSP™), Selective Call Forwarding will be billed at the Switch Feature rate, if any, in your Commercial Agreement. When Qwest billing systems are able to differentiate between Selective Call Forwarding provisioned using CLASS or AIN technology, Qwest will implement billing for Selective Call Forwarding provisioned using AIN technology at the AIN feature rate provided in your Commercial Agreement. Notification of this change, as well as an update to this Product Catalog (PCAT) will be provided via the standard notification process.
