Low relative cost, scalable and secure bandwidth
Qwest Metro Optical Ethernet - QCC (MOE - QCC) service combines the power
of Ethernet and optical technologies across metropolitan area networks
(MANs) to
provide low relative cost, scalable and secure bandwidth. Qwest MOE - QCC provides
local area network (LAN)-to-LAN connectivity between two or more of your locations
within a metro area or connectivity from your location to a Qwest point of
presence (POP) for access to other Qwest services. The Qwest MOE - QCC
solution is based
on distributed Layer 2 switching and shared transport data bandwidth and is
suitable for data applications that include:
Data file transfer
Internet access
Off-site data storage and access to hosting
Outsourced mail and file server service
Outsourced application service
Benefits
Cost effective: Qwest MOE - QCC bandwidth can be less expensive
than traditional time division multiplexing (TDM) services. You may reduce
your
total cost of
ownership by eliminating the need for specialized wide area network (WAN)
support expertise, reducing the cost of WAN equipment with lower cost Ethernet
switches
and routers, and consolidating server/facilities. It may also increase
your productivity by enabling virtual work groups across a metropolitan area.
Flexible: Scalable bandwidth increments mean you only pay for what
you need. And, you can take advantage of speeds up to one full gigabit.
Reliable: Qwest provides a 99.95 service level availability goal
in its service level agreement (SLA) for Qwest MOE - QCC.

customer sites and maintain complete traffic separation and security for
each customer's data. Qwest MOE - QCC provides one or both of the following
services depending upon your needs:
Stand alone LAN-to-LAN connectivity between two or more locations
within a metropolitan area
Ethernet local access for other select Qwest products
Qwest Metro Optical Ethernet - QCC (MOE - QCC) is available outside Qwest's 14-state region in Qwest Local Broadband accessible buildings in Los Angeles, Orange County and San Francisco, California. Minimum 1-year term required. Early termination fee may apply. Additional equipment may be required. Service provided by Qwest Communications Company.
