PS/ALI Service allows a customer-generated address table to be loaded into
the Enhanced 9-1-1 computer so that each PBX or Centrex station can be uniquely
identified if a call is placed to 9-1-1 from that telephone number. Station-
or location-specific automatic number identification (ANI) generated by the
switching system can be passed directly to the E9-1-1 system to pinpoint the
precise location of the caller, so the E9-1-1 operator can direct emergency
response personnel to the correct address, building, floor or room number.
When every second counts, Qwest PS/ALI may:
Shorten response time to better the chances for survival or recovery
Help firefighters get there faster by zeroing in on the source of the call
Facilitate a rapid, well-directed emergency response when often irreplaceable
assets are threatened
Reduce response time to help to minimize damage, reduce medical expenses
and lower insurance costs
Qwest is a leader in 9-1-1 Service. We have years of experience in working
with emergency agencies and are continually working to upgrade networks and
services.
