Attention: How to Ensure You Receive The Lowest Price From Qwest Under Networx

As you complete the Fair Opportunity process under Networx, it is important to understand the different pricing methods for Dedicated Access. The method selected can impact your total evaluated price. As you may have experienced, the GSA Networx Pricer model offers the following alternatives for pricing Dedicated Access: 1) street address with city/state, 2) NPANXX, 3) NSC, 4) SWC, 5) zip code, or 6) city and state.  When priced the model adds the message "Note: Prices for one or more locations below have been estimated by mapping given location to the nearest wire center. Locations which have been mapped to the nearest wire center are labeled like this". The "estimated" in that message means a lower price could be available.

To ensure you properly evaluate Qwest's prices for Dedicated Access, we strongly recommend that you utilize either the NSC (network site code) or the street address with city/state of your locations. The extra effort in utilizing this type of data will, in most cases, provide a lower price because Qwest has chosen to provide exception (special) dedicated access pricing to the Government for most Government locations. In many cases our exception pricing can save you over 50% compared to the other pricing alternatives.
