Qwest Communications International Inc. (NYSE: Q) today announced it was awarded a contract by the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) in support of the Global Information Grid (GIG). The DISN (Defense Information Systems Network) Access Transport Services (DATS) contract awarded to Qwest is expected to be worth at least $100 million during the 10-year period of the contract.
