Domestic Dialing Instructions
To place calls from a touch tone phone within the United States (including the U.S. Territories of American Samoa, Guam, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands and Northern Marianas) and Canada:
- DIAL the toll-free access number on your worldcard®. LISTEN for voice prompt.
- DIAL the 10-digit card number + PIN. LISTEN for voice prompt.
- To place a domestic call: DIAL area code + telephone number. To place an international call: DIAL
011 + country code + city code + telephone number.
Dialing Tips
- To place additional calls, don't hang up; PRESS and HOLD (#) for two seconds.
- If the phone you are using does not allow the (#) key to be held down for two seconds, press (#)
several times in rapid succession. LISTEN for the voice prompt and DIAL next telephone number.
- If at any time you make a mistake in dialing, PRESS (*) to return to the previous step.
- To speak to an operator, DIAL the toll-free access number on your Dialing Guide, enter the security
access code when required (647) then either PRESS (0) or HOLD for an operator.
- To use speed dial, ENTER card number +PIN, then DIAL (1) + (#) and follow the voice prompts.
- Any additional toll charges levied by the local telephone company are the responsibility of the caller.
International Origination Dialing Instructions
Preferred Access
To place calls from a touch tone phone outside the U.S. and Canada:
- DIAL the toll-free access number for the country you are in. LISTEN for the voice prompt.
- DIAL the 10-digit card number + PIN. LISTEN for voice prompt.
- To call back to the U.S. DIAL area code + telephone number. To call between or within international
countries: DIAL 011 + country code + city code + telephone number.
Secondary Access
To place calls from a touch tone phone outside the U.S. and Canada:
- DIAL the toll-free access number for the country you are in. LISTEN for the voice prompt or tone.
- DIAL the Secondary Access Code (647) when required. LISTEN for voice prompt.
- DIAL the 10-digit card number + PIN. LISTEN for voice prompt.
- To call back to the U.S. DIAL area code + telephone number. To call between or within international
countries: DIAL 011 + country code + city code + telephone number.
Notes legend and general precautions to be aware of when traveling:
- "1" These countries allow you to place calls to the U.S., other countries or within the same country.
- "2" These countries allow calling back to U.S. only.
- "3" International calling may not be permitted from all over the country.
- "4" Countries may block access from pay phones.
- "5" Hotels may apply a surcharge or block access numbers.
- "6" Dial international access code + 800-6246-2462 for customer service while in country.
- A (&) within an access number means to wait for a second dial tone before dialing the rest of the number.
- Public phones may require a coin deposit to provide a dial tone and may not return it after the call.
- A ten second delay can be experienced when calling between countries.
- Local phone companies within each country control call quality.
