The total download and installation process typically takes 15-20 minutes to complete. If you stop before the installation is complete, you’ll need to start over.

1. Download the modem software file. When asked, choose to save the file to your computer hard disk. We recommend you save the file to your "c:/temp" subdirectory. Be sure to note where you save it.
2. Then, choose instructions based on your ISP configuration.

ISP Configuration:	RFC 1483 Bridge
Instructions:	Install Modem Software (PDF) Connect to the Internet (PDF)
ISP Configuration:	PPP
Instructions:	Install Modem Software (PDF) Connect to the Internet (PDF)

Helpful Hints

• Choose “New Modem Installation” if this is the first time you’re installing this modem.
• Choose “Update (Migration)” if you’ve already installed the Intel 2100 modem under an earlier version of Windows® and now need to update your modem software to work with the Windows ME operating system.
• Not sure what your configuration type is? Your ISP configuration information should be recorded on the ISP Information Worksheet you received with your Qwest® Broadband Intel® PRO/DSL 2100 User Guide. If you didn’t complete this informational worksheet or can’t find it, please contact your ISP. Or, use these instructions (PDF) to determine if you’re using PPP or 1483 Bridge.
