We strongly recommend all Cisco® 675/678 users upgrade to Cisco Broadband Operating System (CBOS) version 2.4.6 to avoid the vulnerabilities associated with older CBOS versions. Use our firmware update downloads and instructions to update your modem.
On May 23, 2002 Cisco Systems® published an advisory informing all Cisco 600 series users of a new firmware vulnerability. The Cisco Systems advisory outlines specific, identified vulnerabilities in CBOS security of older versions.
