Sub-Process 1 - Connecting to your Cisco 675

Use the following instructions to upgrade your Cisco 675 modem to the latest CBOS version.

STEP 1

In this step you will be performing the physical connections for your modem to enable you to configure your modem, by connecting the modem wires.

Connect your Cisco 675 to your Macintosh®. Ensure that the yellow cable is connected to the Ethernet port on your Macintosh and to the "ENET" port on the back of the Cisco 675.

Connect the tan MAC management cable you received with your modem in the MAC kit to a ADB to USB converter connected to the back of your MAC. Also, connect the opposite end of the cable to the "MGMT" port on the back of your modem. Qwest does not supply the USB to ADB cable. Please see your local computer provider for this cable. If you have an older MAC, you will not need the USB to ADB converter. Please refer to the following diagrams.

NOTE: If you have an older non-USB MAC, please insert the cable directly into the back of your MAC. You do not need an ADB to USB converter.

Connect the modem power cable and ensure the green power light is on.
