Summary:

Copper Retirements are necessary to respond to various factors in the Outside Plant, including road construction, maintenance problems, and growth accommodation. Replacement cables may be either copper or fiber. Specific information will be provided with each disclosure.

There are currently no CLEC circuits impacted by this job.

Due to copper cable theft in this area, Qwest is removing the copper facilities and is replacing them with fiber fed digital loop carrier (DLC). Currently, there are no CLEC circuits in this cable; therefore, no impact. However, after the cut to DLC, copper reliant services, such as non-loaded copper loops, and CO-based DSL, will no longer be supported, all other types of unbundled loops will still be available.
