Summary:

Copper Retirements are necessary to respond to various factors in the Outside Plant, including road construction, maintenance problems, and growth accommodation. Replacement cables may be either copper or fiber. Specific information will be provided with each disclosure.

Copper reliant services, such as non-loaded copper loops will no longer be supported after the cut to DLC; all other types of unbundled loops will still be available.
MN Rochester ROCHMNRO 9-8-2011 320203 & 320202 12M2G4T 206 SW 21 ST & 725 Due to the City of Rochester road grading project at the intersection of 20th St SW and Broadway, Qwest/CenturyLink must abandon its copper cables and move workers to a new fiber fed digital loop carrier system (DLC). Copper reliant services, such as non-loaded copper loops will no longer be supported after the cut to DLC; all other types of unbundled loops will still be available.
