Summary:

Copper Retirements are necessary to respond to various factors in the Outside Plant, including road construction, maintenance problems, and growth accommodation. Replacement cables may be either copper or fiber. Specific information will be provided with each disclosure.

County work will remove existing bridge, raise roadbed, and place new concrete box culvert over Catfish Creek. The county work will require Qwest to place temporary service wires around the construction site in order to maintain service thru winter of 2009. A permanent buried cable will be placed in spring, 2010 and remove the temporary wires. Change of +.89 dB loss.

The Sai will be 100% pair gain fed. This job will remove the existing C.O. copper F-1 pairs as part of the project to eliminate the copper F-1 pairs to this area which is being impacted by the 4th Street bridge replacement. At the completion of this job, no copper F-1 pairs will be available to this Sai. The before loss to X F 3051 Pinewood Rd SE is 36.97 dB at 28Khz which includes 18,239 feet of ANMW and 7,336 feet of ANTW cables (25.58 Kft). The after loss to X F 3051 Pinewood Rd SE is .05 dB at 28Khz which includes 30 feet of ANMW cables (.03 Kft). All existing Clec circuits will continue to work at the completion of this job.
MN Rochester ROCHMNRO 01-22-2010 250702 92M22X7 1005 Parkside Qwest will re feed the existing Sai at 1005 Parkside from C.O. based copper F-1 pairs to an existing fiber fed RT at 2904 20th St SE. The after loss to X 1005 Parkside is 5.30 dB at 28Khz which includes 3,362 feet ofANMW cable (3.36 Kft). All existing Clec circuits will continue to work at the completion of this job.

The loss is increased by 1.15 db. Section 2 (Feeder/Dist)- 3078' of 22ga will be replaced by 3846' of 22ga. The loss is increased by 0.93db.
SD Flandreau FLNDSDCO 05-01-2010 605-997 92T1617 405-3 The Job 92T1617 will be relocating cable that is in conflict with the road improvement project on SD hwy 34 from 2 Miles east of Egan to the Minnesota state. This job will replace cable in 4 sections of plant. The first section is 5104 feet of 22 ga cable that will be replaced with 5150 feet of 22 ga cable. This will result in a loss increase of .010 db @ 1004 Hz. The second section will replace 779 feet of 22 ga with 500 feet of 22 ga. This will result in a gain of 0.06 db @ 1004 Hz. The third section will replace 5607 feet of 19 ga and 17148 feet of 22 ga with 21930 feet of 22 ga. This will result in a loss increase of 1.9 db @ 1004 Hz. The fourth section will replace 200 feet of 22 ga with 220 feet of 22 ga. This will result in a no change @ 1004 Hz.

Qwest is relocating buried and underground facilities to accommodate road construction along S. Main Street in Spanish Fork. An addition of .100 Kf of 24 gauge ANMW buried cable will be added to the loop which has a combination of 22,24 & 26 gauge cables. The newF1/F2 loop at will be 7.700 KF. Change of +.18 dB. The dB loss calculations for the individual copper sections is: Before-7.600 Kf 22, 24, 26 gauge cables @ 28 KHz=13.770 dB After: 7.700 Kf 22, 24, 26 gauge cables @ 28 KHz=13.950 dB Change of + .18 dB requires a notification disclosure. Short interval disclosure is required.
