Summary:

Copper Retirements are necessary to respond to various factors in the Outside Plant, including road construction, maintenance problems, and growth accommodation. Replacement cables may be either copper or fiber. Specific information will be provided with each disclosure.

The second is on the west side of S Five Mile Rd about 480' north of W Lake Hazel Rd. The cables contain F1 and F2 facilities. A 3 ' section of the existing cables will be removed. There are CLECS on the sections to be removed. This job is being done at the developers request as the existing closure is in conflict with property improvements. The first section of 300 pair removed cable has a Before: 226' of 22 ga = .240dB loss @ 28 KHz. After: 223' of 22 ga and 20' of 22 ga= .290dB loss @ 28 KHz. Difference is +0.050dB. The second section of removed 300 pair cable has a Before: 906' of 22 ga = .96dB loss @ 28 KHz. After: 603' of 22ga and 50' of 22 ga= 1.01dB loss @ 28 KHz. Difference is +0.050dB. The third section is of a 25 pair cable and the removed cable has a Before: 1398' of 19 ga = .830dB loss @ 28 KHz. After: 1395' of 19 ga and 50' of 19ga= .860 dB loss @ 28 KHz. Difference is +0.030dB. The fouth section of removed cable is a 100 pair cable has a before: 560' of 22 ga = .60dB loss @ 28 KHz. After: 557' of 22ga and 50' of 22 ga= .65dB loss @ 28 KHz. Difference is +0.050dB. The fifth section of removed cable is a 100 pair cable has a before: 464' of 22 ga = .50dB loss @ 28 KHz. After: 461' of 22ga and 50' of 22 ga= .55dB loss @ 28 KHz. Difference is +0.050dB.
MN Rochester ROCHMNRO 12-21-2009 260102 92M22SK OLD SAI (X 50 AV & MARION RD) NEW SAI IS X 3925 MARION RD SE Qwest will place a new fiber fed remote terminal and Sai at 3925 Marion Rd SE and remove the existing C.O.copper fed Sai at 50 Av & Marion Rd as part of the project to eliminate the copper F-1 pairs to this area which is being impacted by the 4th Street bridge replacement. At the completion of this job, no copper F-1 pairs will be available to the new Sai. The before loss to X 50 Av & Marion Rd is 64.15 dB at 28Khz which includes 2,543 feet of ANBW, 5,671 feet of ANAW, 23,244 feet of ANMW and 6,062 feet of ANTW cables (37.52 Kft). The after loss to X 3925 Marion Rd SE is .14 dB at 28Khz which includes 80 feet of ANMW cables (.08 Kft).
