Summary:

Copper Retirements are necessary to respond to various factors in the Outside Plant, including road construction, maintenance problems, and growth accommodation. Replacement cables may be either copper or fiber. Specific information will be provided with each disclosure.

This cable will be replaced by 1605 feet (1.605Kft) of 24 gauge section of F2 Distribution cable.The old loop was .998Kft and the new loop is 1.605Kft. Also, relocate 868feet (.868Kft) 24 gauge section F2 to building 8802 N 19 Ave. Cable to be replaced by 2096 feet (2.096Kft) 24 gauge of F2 cable. The old loop was .868Kft and the new is 2.096Kft. All existing circuits will continue to be supported. This work requried by the Light Rail construction.

AFTER: 2.974KF OF 24 GAUGE HAS A LOSS OF 1.080DB @ 1004HZ AND A RESISTANCE OF 155.540 OHMS.
MN Owatonna 07-17-2009 130911 82M1ULP 260 26TH ST NW THIS EXISTING RURAL AREA IS PRESENTLY FED FROM DA 130902 . A NEW RT AND SAI WILL BE PLACED ON THIS JOB AND ALL CUSTOMERS ON THE WEST SIDE OF I-35 WILL BE CUT TO THE NEW SAI. ALL EXISTING CUSTOMERS ON THE EAST SIDE OF I-35 WILL REMIAN IN THE EXISTING DA 130902. ALL EXISTING SERVICES IN THIS AREA WILL CONTINUE TO WORK AFTER THIS JOB IS COMPLETE. THE SHORT DATE IS DUE TO A ROAD RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT. The before loss is 54.36 Db at 28Khz which includes 5,293 feet of ANAW, 24,269 feet of ANMW and 2,235 feet of ANTW cables (31.79 Kft). MN St Cloud STCDMNTO 07-31-2009 122302 92M1ZV6 ST Cloud Industrial Park-2 JOB 92M1ZV6 REMOVES ALL COPPER FACILITIES FROM SAI ST CLOUD INDUSTRIAL PARK-2. CUSTOMERS WORKING ON COPPER WILL BE PLACED ON A TA1500 DLC. A COUPLE TERMINALS WILL HAVE A LONGER F2 DISTANCE, BUT THE COMBINED F1 & F2 DISTANCE WILL BE SHORTER FOR ALL TERMINALS.
SD Sioux Falls SW SXFLSDSW 09-01-2009 112001 92T15QT N2W5S2 This job will replace 869 feet of 22ga feed cable with 1,028 feet of 24ga feed cable that will result in an increase of 24 ohms of resistance and .140 db of loss @ 1004 Hz. The job will also replace 4,828 feet of 22ga distribution cable north of the SAI with 4,755 feet of 24ga distribution cable. This will result in an increase of 90 ohms of resistance and .460 db of loss @ 1004 Hz. The final section of cable is 4,830 feet of 22ga and 2,129 feet of 24ga cable that will be replaced with 6,661 feet of 24ga cable. This will result in an increase of 78 ohms of resistance and .360 db of loss @ 1004 hz.
WA Chehalis CHHLWA01 08-21-2009 410501 82W25AY 661 NW Prindle Straight CO feed in DA 410501 will be cut over to F2 count from DA 410701 to meet growth needs of the area. The dB loss will be negatively impacted by 4.85 dB at 196 KHz. Total dB loss after this rearrangment will be 18.67 dB at 196 KHz.
WA Logan TACMWALO 12-30-2009 314001 92W2C2D N/A Qwest had a 22ga cable, 500', which was torn down by a tow truck and was replaced with 500' of a 24ga cable which resulted in a db increase of .26db.
WA Othelloe MSLKWA01 08-21-2009 315302 92W2BGD N/A Replace 200 ft span 300 pair 22 gauge aerial cable with 260 ft 22 gauge buried cable to eliminate clearance problem.
