Summary:

Copper Retirements are necessary to respond to various factors in the Outside Plant, including road construction, maintenance problems, and growth accommodation. Replacement cables may be either copper or fiber. Specific information will be provided with each disclosure.

Old calculations= @ 28khz 3.460 db loss for 22 gauge cable @ 2.953 kf, new calculation= @ 28khz 5.240 db loss for 24 gauge cable @ 3.413 kf. New measurements reflect change from 22-24 gauge to all 24 gauge. Cables being replaced were circa 1970-1980 prior to R/T installation in DA 310405.
