Summary:

Copper Retirements are necessary to respond to various factors in the Outside Plant, including road construction, maintenance problems, and growth accommodation. Replacement cables may be either copper or fiber. Specific information will be provided with each disclosure.

The existing cable is comprised of 55' of ANMW-9 at 28Khz is .1dB, 200' of ANMW-9 at 28Khz is .37dB, 345' of ANMW-3 at 28Khz is .63dB, 300' of ANMW-2 at 28Khz is .55dB totalling 1.65dB. The new cable will be 990' of a ANMW-3 at 28Khz is 1.74. The increase is .09 dB.
AZ Chandler Mina CHNDAZMA 05-01-2009 3101 9212UHG 120 S Washington St City of Chandler request to remove an existing 300 pr cable in an existing alley. 881' of the existing BKMH-300 pr cable at 28Khz has loss of 1.56dB. 1297' of new ANMW -900 pr cable at 28Khz has a loss of 2.25 dB. The difference is a +.69dB.

The work must be completed by 5/31/09 to clear way for the culvert construction and fisheries windows. The db loss for the copper cable section to be replaced is as follows: Before: 250ft of KFBW-106 @ 28KHz = .140db. After 520ft of ANBW-100 @ 28KHz = .300db. A change of .160db.
