Summary:

Copper Retirements are necessary to respond to various factors in the Outside Plant, including road construction, maintenance problems, and growth accommodation. Replacement cables may be either copper or fiber. Specific information will be provided with each disclosure.

Replacement material will consist of 900' of ANMW-100(24 gauge). After new cable is placed, spliced, conformance tested, and the existing services are cutover, the existing cable will be abandoned/retired.

Three aerial spans of mixed gauge cables will be replaced with one span beginning at Lakeside Ave N running north up Vera Cruz Ave N to Corvallis Ave N @ 2.667kFt from the central office. Before: 110'of 26ga, 482'of 24ga, 439'of 22ga, 854'of 19ga. Total = 1.885 kFt= Loss @ 28 kHz = 2.029dB After: 1.315 kFt of 24ga = Loss @ 28 kHz = 2.080dB An increase of 0.051 dB.

This work removes two abandoned power poles and remove 171 feet of aerial BKMH-100 placed in 1993. Retirement Information: Before: After: 171' BKMH-100 @ 28 KHz = 0.320 dB 601' ANMW-100 @ 28 KHz = 1.080 dB *Change of -0.76 dB loss.
OR Milwaukie MLWKOR17 03-31-2009 213882 82R1TJX 2425 SE OAK GROVE BLVD. X 2425 SE OAK GROVE BV WILL BE REMOVED AND ALL WORKERS MOVED TO X 14733 SE RUPERT. THE BEFORE LOOP MAKE UP IS 11.8 KF FOR F1 AND 2.7 KF FOR F2. THE NEW LOOP MAKE UP WILL BE 11.8KF FOR F1 AND 3.4 KF FOR F2 WHICH CAUSED A NEGATIVE INCREASE IN THE DB LOSS FROM 30.9 TO 32.27. ALL SERVICES WILL CONTINUE TO BE SUPPORTED.
WA Whitehall OLYMWA02 03-31-2009 413002 82W25TB N/A Qwest is replacing a 24 gauge cable with a longer section of 24 gauge and cutting 100 of the 300 pairs in this cable over to SAI X R 112 Plymouth. The affected section starts at 4th Ave W at the intersection of the Decature/Thomas Alley and goes north aprox 2KF. The affected cable range is 27,2701-2800.
