Summary:

Copper Retirements are necessary to respond to various factors in the Outside Plant, including road construction, maintenance problems, and growth accommodation. Replacement cables may be either copper or fiber. Specific information will be provided with each disclosure.

MnDOT HWY 65 project requires the relocation of all cables in freeway right of way. Therefore the east portion of the affected DA270804 will be cut to 100% DLC F1 from the adjoining DA 290901. To accomplish this, new F2 cables will be placed from one existing splice point near RT/SAI (DA 290901). There will be no negatively affected circuits. All existing CLEC services will continue to be supported. The new loop changes of each DA will be: B4= DA 270804 2.651kft 22GA + 24.118kft 24GA + 1.852kft 26GA@ 28KHz = 49.850 After= DA 290901 6.155kft feet 24GA @ 28KHz = 10.420

The old (Before) section of cable being removed was .263 KFt of 24 gauge = 0.44 dB @ 28 KHz. The new (After) cable is 0.555 KFt of 24 Gauge = 0.91 dB @ 28 KHz.. This increases the dB by 0.47 dB. No CLEC circuits were found in this section. Short interval notification is required.
