Summary:

Copper Retirements are necessary to respond to various factors in the Outside Plant, including road construction, maintenance problems, and growth accommodation.  Replacement cables may be either copper or fiber.  Specific information will be provided with each disclosure.

Before:22gauge @ 3.148kf @ 28khz=3.42db loss After: 22gauge @ 2.331kf & 24gauge @ .825kf @ 28khz=3.86 A difference of .44 db loss due to gauge change.

NM Belen Main BELNNMMA 02-15-2007 110511 & 110611 625M128 1322 Frontage Rd & 1-25 Bypass Qwest is cutting from a copper fed DA to a fiber fed CSA. This will also realign the serving area's to provide better service. The dB loss will be lowered from 30.900 @ 28KHz to 19.38 @ 28KHz. The F-2 cables will stay at 24 gauge but will have kess length. The buried cable sections to be abandoned in place are F-2 facilities from 1322F that are being removed and cut over to the 51-BP counts

This job places 172' of 100 X 24 ga underground cable and abandons 130' of 100 X 24 ga underground cable.
UT Bountiful BNTFUTMA 12-18-2006 212011 H160027 795 W 1600 S UDOT project SP-0067(5) Legacy Parkway. UDOT is constructing the Legacy Parkway from Farmington to North Salt Lake. These facilities are in conflict with the parkway and need to be relocated. After: 1887' of ANMW-25, 1638' of ALAW-100, 35' of BHAH-300, 3601' of ALMW-200, 379' of AJMW-300, 25' of GFMW-25 @ 28KHz=10.77. Change of +2.9dB loss. Short interval disclosure is required.
