Summary:

Copper Retirements are necessary to respond to various factors in the Outside Plant, including road construction, maintenance problems, and growth accommodation.  Replacement cables may be either copper or fiber.  Specific information will be provided with each disclosure.

The existing ANMW-100pr (will be abandoned) cable has a loop length of 500ft. The new loop length will use a portion of the new ANMW-400pr cable and ANMW-100pr. The new loop length will be 930ft using both 400pr & 100pr cables. All of the cables are along Hwy 260 near Western Ave.

CO Denver South DNVRCOSO 11-30-2006 220232 622N352 X 163 Humboldt QWEST is splicing cable that has been previously placed on a rehab job in 2000. The sections to be replaced are straight feed terminals that will be cut behind X 163 Humboldt. The 2499' of 22 gauge cable was replaced by 24 gauge cable. The dB loss of the section before is 2.67db. The db loss after is 3.89. This is a service affecting rehab and the RFS will be less then the 95 days.
CO Fraser FRSRCOMA 11-30-2006 110361 C62A292 272 Hi Country Dr Replace 850' of ALMW-300 pair feeder cable with 1270' of ANMW-400 F1 feeder. The existing 300 pair cable is being replaced due to a road realignment. The new F1 loop will be 6.03 KF from the CO.
CO Granby GRNBCOMA 12-30-2006 N/A 622C066 X 563 W. Agate Av Qwest is replacing a portion of F1 cable to x-box X-563 wW Agate Av. 1586' of aerial 24 gauge cable will be replaced with 2030' of buried 24 gauge cable. This will add 0.44 KF of 24 gauge to the loop length to the x-box.
CO Grand Junction GDJTCOMA 11-15-2006 431631 5223126 Direct Feed and X-2448 This job removes existing aerial and buried cables along River Rd for jobs 5222527, 5222684, 5222686 and 5222687. These jobs are required to relocate telephone facilities in conflict with the 2nd phase of the Riverside Parkway road project being done by the City of Grand Junction. These four jobs placed a total of 10,355' of 24 gauge F1 cable, 2007' of 22 gauge F2 cable and 6190' of 24 gauge F2 cable. Job 5222684 also replaced the X-box. These jobs replaced 10,273' of 24 gauge F1 cable and 3' of 26 gauge F1 cable. The (2) jobs that placed the F1 cable ( 5222527 & 5222684) resulted in an increase of 82' of new F1 cable. Job 5222687 is a direct C.O feed area and placed 2235' of 24 gauge cable. This replaced 2918' of 22 gauge, 212' of 24 gauge and 425' of 26 gauge. Altough there was a reduction in gauge, the removal of bridge-tap and multiples improved service in this area. jobs 5222684 & 5222686 placed a total of 2007' of 22 gauge F2 cable and 3883' of 24 gauge F2 cable. These cables replaced 9506' of 22 gauge F2 cable and 621' of 24 gauge F2 cable. Again, altough there was a reduction in gauge , service was improved with the removal of bridge-tap and multiples in this section. All service provided by these jobs will remain copper fed.
CO Parker Main PRKRCOMA 11-10-2006 219531 N/A X 3004 Pikes Peak Rd This job provides for replacing 2700 ft of ALBW-50 placed in 1977 that due to erosion over time has deteriorated to the point it is no longer usable. It will be replaced with 2712' ANMW-50 Before: 2700' ALBW-50 @ 28KHz =0.73Db After: 2712' ANMW-50 @ 28KHz = 1.26Db The existing 50 pr cable will be changed for 19 ga to 24ga due to the fact that this area is well within RZ1500 and will continue to support services without needing the course gauge.

IA Clarion CLRIIACO 10-27-2006 221101 62CE685 X City Limits This job replaces two sections of cable 11pr-19ga and 25pr 24ga with new 24ga 50pr cable. One section is 300' the other section is 600'. The loop will be affected on the 19ga cable that is replaced with 24ga cable. The entire length of the loop from the co to the end terminal is 11.787kf
