Summary:

Copper Retirements are necessary to respond to various factors in the Outside Plant, including road construction, maintenance problems, and growth accommodation.  Replacement cables may be either copper or fiber.  Specific information will be provided with each disclosure.

UT Clearfield CLFDUTMA 09/15/06 218661 626D549 Direct Feed from CO Clinton City Project - 2300 North-1500 West to 2000 W & 2050 North-1720 W to 1500 W - Roadway reconstruction. The City is adding curb, gutter and sidewalk along 2300 N & 2050 N. Qwest will be relocating 9 pedestals and adding approximately 176' of ANAW 50 pair cable.
The dB loss calculations for the individual copper cable sections is:

Before - 2278' - 22 gauge 50 pair @ 28 KHz = .230
After - 2454' - ANAW 50 pair @ 28KHz=.430
Change of +.2 dB loss does require notification disclosure. Short interval disclosure is required.
NM Clovis CLVSNMMA 09/18/06 411901 625H869 X 430 TEP This work begins 10.919 kft from tne CLVSNMMA CO. The db calculations are as follows:
BEFORE: 614' of BHAA-100 @ 28khz = .720 db. AFTER: 671' of ANMW-a00 @ 28 khz = 1.200 db.
A change of +.48 db requires disclosure. A short interval disclosure is required due to out of service conditions. The ERFS for this job is 09/18/06.
MT Bozeman BZMNMTMA 9/25/06 452511 C64A045 X 4 Simmental Way This billing job will reroute aerial cable facilitiy into buried cable placed in customer provided conduit. 1.270 KFT of 19 GA cable will be replaced by 1.393 KFT of 24 GA cable. The old total loop loss at furthmost terminal I 6130 DAVIS LN was 11.9 db at 1004 KHZ while the new loss is db. at 40 KHZ old loss was 26.5 db while the new loss is 28.9 DB. HICAP ckts still qualify for non-repeatered HDSL.

This work is necessary due to rain and lightning damage. There are no affected CLEC services. The dB loss changes from 50.91 to 54.82.
OR Winston WNTNOR57 9/30/06 112261 62RT035 Qwest will abandon 1000 feet of BHBA-25 cable and replace it with 1000 feet of ANAW-50 cable on the west side of Roberts Mountain Rd. south of Roberts Creek Rd. This work will change the loop makeup of this transmission path.

MN Melrose DLTHMNME 10/06/06 110610 62MR037 Office Direct Pairs Removing a 100 pair inside building terminal and 20 ft of BKMH-100.
MN Melrose DLTHMNME 10/06/06 411002 C6MA228 314 S Blackman Ave Qwest will be abandoning 190' of BKMH-25 and removing 17' of BKMH-25 and a 25 pair building terminal. Customer has constructed a new building; services will be moved over to new building.
MN Owatonna OWTNMNOW 10/13/06 411502 X Brady Blvd Qwest will abandon 80' of ANAW-200 pair, 22' of ANMW 100 pair, 893' of AHAA-100 pair and 1442' of BHAH-100 pair buried distribution cables and replace with 555' of ANMW-200 pair, 485' of ANMW-100 pair and 930' of ANMW-50 pair buried distribution cables. Escalation is required because of road reconstruction. The change in the loop makeup is minimal: Before 12.7 KF with 21 dB loss @ 28 KHz / After 12.9 KF with 22 dB loss @ 28 KHz.
MT East Glacier EGPKMTMA 10/15/06 220241 H540021 NA Qwest is relocating facilities in conflict with state highway project. F1/F2 cable - 860' of 24 gauge will be replaced with 900' of 24 gauge. The loss will increase +.060db. Toll facility - 860' of 22 gauge will be replaced with 900' of 22 gauge. The loss will increase by +0.04db.
OR Phoenix PHNXOR55 10/15/06 1108 62RN549 3840 Fern Valley Rd This job is affecting terminal 3001 N Phoenix Road. No CLEC Customers. The dB loss originally was 5.7dB and now it will be 6.28 dB. The length of the cable is the only thing that is changing, the gauge is the same. This work had to be done due to a realignment of N Phoenix Road due to new business development.

The change of -1.18dB will affect the loop but provides F2 facilities to terminal I 470 Hamline Av N.

Because this job will eliminate bridged taps, the transmission loss will actually be improved at all frequencies except 1004 hz. At that one frequency, the loss will increase by 0.06db.

NM Tijeras TJRSNMMA 12/11/06 218301 625H283 242 Sedillo Rd Removing existing cable and replace w/ like for like cable size of ANMW-50. Change of footage will impact loop make-up from new cable footage of 3,984' from 2,470 is 2.14dB loss. Job needs to be done for which is a PNM Electric NJUNS - Joint Use attachments to new PNM pole. Qwest has to get off of old poles within 30 days. Distribution Area is 31.6 Kft from Tijeras Central Office. The required service date is November 28,2006.

Before: 403' BKMH-100 @ 28KHz = 0.670
After: 465' ANMW-100 @ 28KHz = 0.740
Change requires notification disclosure This has a negative effect on the loop conditions. X 3790 S 10 AV is 11.2 kf from the CO. Longest loop affected is 13.45 Kf
AZ Deer Valley 12/31/06 112831 6212692 X 3024 W Foothills DR This engineering work order will replace and relocate buried facilities in route 1 of the Deer Valley wire center to eliminate conflicts with improvements to be constructed on City of Phoenix project ST85100146/147. The work will consist of replacing various lengths, from .038 Kft. to 1.076 Kft., and gauges, 22-26, of buried cable with various lengths, from .043 Kft to 1.27 Kft. of 24 gauge buried cable. The work will affect the distribution counts 603,1-500, 603,526-600.
WA Yakima 2/13/07 4120 62WV592 X 2801 River Rd Miscellaneous F2 originating at X 2801 River Rd to field. Cable count is 2801RR, 151-175. The work is being done to accommodate a road improvement project. The work replaces 63 feet of 26 gauge cable with 204 feet of 24 gauge cable for a dB loss at 28 KHz of +0.190 dB over the existing cable. The SAI is fed from copper F1.
MN Elk River EKRVMNER 04/13/07 150502 & 150503 62MN421 X CR 33 & Concord & X CR 33 & Watson Road construction will begin in the 3rd quarter of 2006 for the reconstruction of County Road 33 and County Road 77 (Route 2), between Hwy 169 and County Road 1 in the city of Elk River. All existing F1 buried cables in DA 150502 & 150503 (22 ga.) will be abandoned and replaced with new 22 ga. in the area covered by this road job. All working services in the F1 cable(22 ga) will be cut to the new F1 (22 ga.) cables. All existing F2 buried cables in DA 150502 & 150503 (24 ga.) will be abandoned and replaced with new 24 ga. in the area covered by this road job. All working services in the F2 cable(24 ga) will be cut to the new F2 (24 ga.) cables.The existing cable lengths and new cable lengths for the F1 will change a little but will not have any significant affect. The existing cable lengths for F2 will change a little due too removing the two SAI's and moving the location of the one new SAI that is replacing the two, but will not have any significant affect. All existing cables (22 ga. & 24 ga.) will be replaced with the same gauge cables.
