Network Disclosure Announcement #557

Public Notice of Network Change(s), Pursuant to CFR 47, subsections 51.325 - 51.335. Qwest's Internet address: http://www.qwest.com/disclosures.

10-Digit Signaling for Traffic on the Qwest Corporation Network

First Implementation Date:

June 30, 2006

Original Date Posted:

May 5, 2006

Summary:

QWEST will be changing all switches and tandems (i.e. access, intraLATA, local, etc.) within its 14 state region to accept ONLY 10 digits on incoming signaling. This will not apply to 950 Feature Group B Signaling, which will remain 7-digits.

There will be a permissive period of approximately one month during which the QWEST switches and tandems that currently accept 7 digits will also accept 10 digits on incoming trunk groups.  At the end of the permissive period and concurrent with a LERG change for all the end offices,  QWEST will only accept 10 digit incoming signaling at all switches and tandems.

Interconnecting service providers MAY change their signaling to QWEST to 10 digits at any time after the permissive period begins.

Interconnecting service providers MUST change their signaling to all QWEST end offices and tandems to 10 digits by the dates indicated in the location section of this disclosure.

Locations and Timing of Deployments:
