Qwest Pulls Out All The Stops In Upgrading Voice And Data Solutions For Just Brakes

Denver, January 17, 2007 - Qwest Communications International Inc. (NYSE: Q) today announced it has signed a three-year, $1.44 million contract with Dallas, Texas-based JUST BRAKES to provide advanced voice and data solutions. JUST BRAKES, the nation's largest automotive brake specialist, has more than 140 stores and approximately 1,000 employees nationwide.

In those more than 140 locations, JUST BRAKES will use Qwest(c) OneFlex Integrated Access, part of Qwest's voice over IP (VoIP) suite of services, for voice, data and Internet access on a single network connection. Qwest services also will allow JUST BRAKES to centralize all of its accounting on a Web-based platform allowing JUST BRAKES to provide its locations with real-time technical support and customer interface.

"Qwest's services will provide us with next-generation technology that improves the way we communicate daily with our service centers (and by extension, our customers), nationwide," said Don Jones, senior director of purchasing for JUST BRAKES. "We have been very pleased with Qwest's ability to make a smooth and efficient transition to integrate our voice and data services with Internet access on one network.

"Qwest OneFlex Integrated Access is simple and efficient - two important traits in any service a business uses," said Tom Richards, executive vice president, Qwest business markets group. "Qwest's technology is second to none, and this agreement shows our ability to deliver services that simplify customers' lives."

Qwest OneFlex enables businesses to save on costs and be more efficient by combining voice and data on one connection. Qwest was the first major communications company to offer a VoIP solution in 2004 and since then has delivered a full suite of VoIP services to business customers in more than 1,000 cities nationwide. In fact, the Qwest network currently carries nearly four billion VoIP minutes per month.
