The Qwest Pioneers are current and retired employees of
Qwest who are dedicated to community service in
communities throughout our region. Employees are eligible to
become Pioneers on the day they join Qwest.
The Pioneers work on projects that directly support the
communities we live and work in. Pioneers projects range
from education to health care, from assisting the
handicapped to helping the homeless. The projects are
designed to meet the needs of the community and the
interests of Pioneers and their families.
The Qwest Pioneers contribute over 1 million hours of
volunteer service each year in our 14 state territory.
Working with the Qwest Pioneers is a great way to work
in your community, meet new people, and have a lot of fun!
Pioneer projects are tailored to meet the unique needs of our
communities—and the diverse interests of Pioneers. Pioneers
have a primary commitment to education, and work with
schools throughout our region to help kids be successful.
They work with Habitat for Humanity to build houses for the
homeless. Pioneers work with the handicapped—building
access ramps in parks, working with the visually impaired,
and helping burn victims. Look almost anywhere people in
our communities need assistance—and the Qwest
Pioneers are there.
