Working with Junior Achievement
Since 1995, the Qwest Pioneers have shared a formal partnership with Junior Achievement. Pioneers can dedicate just one hour, one day a week for five weeks at a school and give students in their community a real-world perspective on economics and business. Complete training is provided with the help of a guide book of each week's activities with overviews, objectives and ideas for your presentation. The Junior Achievement experience offers volunteers the opportunity to go into the classroom and be a part of activity-based education - no lecturing - just volunteering that's hands-on and really exciting.
