I Like Me
Qwest Pioneers are dedicated to the improvement of education for children everywhere. Because of this commitment, Qwest Pioneers are very involved in the "I Like Me" book program. "I Like Me" books foster positive self-esteem and instill a love or reading among kindergarten children. The books are personalized for each child including his or her name, teacheršs name, friends, school and community. After the books are delivered to the schools, Pioneers read to the children, or have the children read to them. "I Like Me" also has a teacheršs guide that describes a series of lessons that emphasize the healthy behavior and reading messages of the childrenšs books.
