Hug-a-Bears for Children in Traumatic Situations
For many years, the Qwest Pioneers have supported Beep Baseball for the blind. Volunteer opportunities range from helping to assemble the balls with the beeping audio unit so that blind athletes can take a swing at hitting one out of the park by hearing the pitch rather than seeing it. Volunteering at Beep Baseball games is also a fun way to get involved with this rewarding volunteer experience. Some Pioneer groups also build beeping Easter eggs to allow visually impaired children to experience an Easter egg hunt.
For more information on Beep Baseball activities call the Qwest Pioneers at 303-624-8600.
