Steve Davis heads Qwest’s Public Policy organization, responsible for the development and advocacy of the company’s policies in regulatory, legislative and other governmental forums. Mr. Davis joined Qwest in January 2000 as senior vice president and assistant general counsel of policy and law. He has more than 22 years of experience in telecommunications law, with particular emphasis in local, state and federal regulatory law. Prior to joining Qwest, Mr. Davis held various legal and regulatory positions with AT&T, where from 1996 to 2000, he was responsible for representing AT&T’s interests in all state and local governmental matters. Prior to that time, he held positions as chief counsel for AT&T’s consumer services division, chief counsel for AT&T’s Universal Card services division and head of AT&T’s Federal Regulatory and Antitrust group. Mr. Davis attended the University of Kansas, where he received both his Bachelor of Science degree and his Juris Doctorate degree. Mr. Davis serves on the board of directors of Qwest Foundation, Junior Achievement and the Western Governor’s University National Advisory Board. Mr. Davis and his wife, Kim, have two children and live in Denver. |
